Rhema Word Cathedral through the outreach arm, Stand Up Again, is committed to reaching the whole man with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are unswerving in our commitment to go outside the four walls and reach people where they are. SUA’s mission is to be a voice in the wilderness to those who have fallen and need help getting up again. Our apostle, Victor L. Powell, is an anointed visionary who has the heart of the Father concerning the lost and the less fortunate. Rhema Word and Stand Up Again are vehicles by which the vision and plans of God, given to the visionary, are to come to pass.
Internationally, Stand Up Again serves others by sending missionaries and financial resources to other countries. In fact, over the past decade, Stand Up Again has served the countries of Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, Japan, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mexico, the Bahamas, Australia and New Zealand. Missions’ trips have involved medical clinics and supplies, toy, food and clothes giveaways, books and personal hygiene products. Rhema Word and Stand Up Again have particularly been involved in Haiti, helping build a church and school, and almost immediately following the January 2010 earthquake, sending money and supplies to assist the devastated country and putting a team of doctors, nurses and other medical personnel in the country within two weeks. Bishop Powell and Rhema Word have taken and/or sent medicines and supplies valued in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to countries around the world.
